About the event

Trainer: Valeria Aman (German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies, DZHW, Germany)

In this tutorial, I will first talk about some basic concepts of network analysis, and then introduce you to Gephi – a network visualization and manipulation tool. I will elaborate the functions of creating a network graph in Gephi using a concrete example of a directed citation network. The tutorial features a hands-on activity designed to explore physical graph features such as node sizes, edge weight, color, layout, etc. The objective is to train the participants in the use of gephi for network visualizations.
